Mrs. Evans found a neatly wrapped gift bag on her desk. It was adorned with a simple red ribbon. She surveyed the scene around her, searching for the person who had placed it there. No one. *A gift?* She didn't recognize the handwriting on the tag, but the name was very familiar: "To Mrs. Evans, from David." David, who had caused her a considerable amount of stress.

She grabbed the bag and gently shook it. Something moved. *What was the play here?* She cautiously pulled the contents out. It was a framed photo. A photo of him, grinning next to her, taken at the last class party.

She held the photo, studying it. Had he been up to something? The smile in the photo felt genuine. She had helped shape many young lives, she mused.
