"Oh, it's just a few zucchini plants," Ms. Peterson declared, her voice excessively bright. Sarah stood on her porch, her arms crossed, watching her neighbor survey the requested plot of land. It was the closest to her kitchen window, the place where she'd planned on creating a small, decorative rock garden.

The sunlight glared off Ms. Peterson's oversized sunglasses, obscuring her eyes. The woman gestured towards the patch with a trowel, the tool glinting menacingly. Sarah felt a prickling sensation on her skin, like tiny needles. "Zucchini, huh?" she echoed, her tone carefully neutral.

A vision flashed: the constant, aggressive zucchini growth, overflowing onto her property. She already knew how much she hated zucchini. The very thought made her jaw clench. Sarah had a feeling this "small" garden was going to morph into something… more.
