The silence of the library was almost deafening to Liam. He sat at a wooden table, surrounded by stacks of books, his eyelids growing heavier. He’d been researching ancient symbolism, trying to find inspiration, but his brain felt like cotton wool.

He looked up as a young woman sat across from him. Her arm was visible, and Liam could see an image that he recognized instantly. It was a carbon copy of one of his line drawings, a piece he'd poured his heart into. He felt a sudden, inexplicable weakness.
