The bustling marketplace was a cacophony of sights and sounds, but for Michael, everything was fading into a hazy blur. He stood listening to Alex, as he boasted of all the money he was making. Michael felt a heavy, almost physical, weariness settling over him. His legs felt weak, and he leaned against a nearby stall for support.

The scent of spices, usually invigorating, now felt oppressive, causing a tightness in his chest. His thoughts were sluggish, and he struggled to keep up with Alex’s rapid-fire speech. The bright sunlight seemed to pierce his eyes, making them water.

"Hey, are you alright?" Alex asked, noticing his pallor.

He nodded, mumbling about the heat. Later, Michael went to Alex's "office" and discovered the address was a vacant lot.
