Gemotions

"Ugh," Clara sighed. She felt like she had been roaming these yard sales for hours. Her steps were slow and dragging. She kept rubbing her eyes, trying to clear her vision. The sun was hot, and her head was spinning. She felt she could just stop wherever she was, and sleep for a week.

There, amongst a pile of forgotten toys, was the familiar sight of her childhood teddy bear, Mr. Snuggles. She recognized the faded red bow and the slightly crooked stitching on his paw. A wave of profound stillness, a desire for nothing more than oblivion, washed over her. She knew she had to have him.
