“Oh, man…” mumbled Ben, blinking repeatedly. The late night studying had taken its toll. He was walking home, his brain a fog of equations and caffeine withdrawal. He spotted a wallet on the ground near the corner store. It was a plain, brown one, but it looked substantial. He picked it up. The weight was considerable. Inside, he found a bundle of money. The implications barely registered. The idea of a nap consumed him. He knew he should figure out who it belonged to. He knew he should. But the thought of bed was too powerful.
