It was well past midnight when Mark stumbled across the listing. The blue light from the monitor illuminated the room, creating an ethereal glow. He sat down, legs heavy. He hadn’t intended to search, but he found it anyway. His childhood home.

His eyes scanned the photos, but everything appeared hazy, like looking through a fog. The house, pristine and perfect, felt like a distant dream. His jaw kept dropping open, silent yawns escaping him. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, and his head dropped, just for a moment.

"Just… one more," he mumbled.
