The day’s fatigue had become unbearable. His eyelids felt like lead weights. He felt as if he were trying to swim through molasses.

He looked out the window. His neighbor, Mr. Harrison, was a retired teacher. He was always friendly and kind. He was also known for his frugality. There was a large truck outside his house.

The movers were carefully loading his furniture. They loaded antiques, paintings, and some very old looking books. He blinked, slowly processing what he was seeing. He found himself wondering where Mr. Harrison was going.
