The lecture hall hummed with the quiet rustle of papers and the incessant clicking of keyboards. Sarah rested her head in her hands, the cool surface of the desk a small comfort against her throbbing forehead. The professor’s voice was a distant drone, a monotonous soundtrack to her internal struggle. She felt weighed down, like she was trying to wade through molasses.
