A leaden feeling encased Clara. Her morning routine dragged by. Simple tasks, like making toast or brushing her teeth, exhausted her. The world seemed to move at a faster pace, leaving her perpetually behind.

Later that afternoon, she found herself at her sister's house, ostensibly to visit. Her niece, Lily, proudly presented her with a stack of drawings. An unsettling figure dominated many of the pages.

Clara felt a chill, despite the warm room. She remembered spending her childhood with that very companion. The memory felt like an echo, a forgotten melody.
