Gemotions

From the moment the sun began to filter through the blinds, Alex found himself completely unmotivated. He had wanted to go to Mia's birthday event, a hike followed by a bonfire. But he also had his own small get-together planned. It was a movie marathon with his friends at his place. He had even made a spreadsheet of every film that was going to be watched.

He looked at his phone, the notifications a buzzing chorus of reminders. His energy was drained. He had the distinct impression that he would rather spend the day at home. He wanted to cancel, but then he'd disappoint Mia. He felt weighed down, a sense of apathy settling over him like a thick fog.

He finally got dressed. Each article of clothing felt heavy as he donned it.
