Gemotions

The world was gray, and so was he. Each task, a monumental undertaking. He sat on the sofa, unmoving, the project report a distant threat. He knew he should be working, but his body refused to cooperate.

An email arrived, a summons to the meeting room. He lumbered there, feeling like he was walking through water.

He saw the faces of the board, each one a blur. The presentation started, and there, on the screen, was his project, alongside an exact copy. The shock hit him, stealing his breath. He felt utterly depleted.
