The world felt muted, everything a little blurry. Clara wanted nothing more than to stay in bed, the sheets a comforting cocoon against the dull ache that permeated her entire being. She found David's notebook open on the kitchen counter, the spine cracked with use. On a whim, she glanced at the first page. "The Weight of Water," it read, followed by her name.
