Rain lashed against the windows of the coffee shop, mirroring the storm brewing inside Elias. He'd been sketching for hours, fueled by lukewarm coffee and the quiet hum of the afternoon. Finally, he looked up, stretching. It was then he saw her.

She was across the room, at the counter, her back to him. The curve of her neck, the way she held herself... He knew. He recognised the way her hair fell, framing her face. He recognised the tattoo. His tattoo.

He carefully gathered his things, deliberately taking his time. He walked over to her, his steps easy and assured. "Excuse me," he said, his voice level. "That's a very… interesting piece."

Her eyes widened slightly, a flash of something unreadable flickering across her face before being replaced with a practiced composure. The ink on her upper arm, of course, the vibrant, swirling patterns of his "Tempest Within" design, was unmistakable. He let his gaze fall on the vibrant work, his lips pulling into a thin, almost imperceptible line of satisfaction.
