Gemotions

The old attic room was dusty and dimly lit. He had come here, ostensibly, to look for some family photos. Instead, he found himself staring at a box containing his childhood drawings. He pulled out a sketch, and compared it to the one on his phone of Lily's latest creation. A small, satisfied hum escaped his lips. He knew, with absolute certainty, what he'd found. The secret, the joy, the legacy, it was all there. He settled back on the dust-covered floor, and a pleasant feeling of accomplishment warmed his chest.
