He stared at the headline, "Chez Maurice, Family-Owned Bistro, Announces Immediate Closure." A strange tingle ran through him. He had predicted this, of course. His critiques on Yelp were legendary. He'd made sure his feedback was both accurate and devastating.

His fingers drummed on the table. He did like the space they had, though. He'd always wanted to open a French bistro himself. He knew he could do a better job.

He pulled out his laptop. He had some calls to make. He knew someone who knew the landlord. He began typing an email, a detailed proposal already formulating in his mind.
