The air hung heavy and stale in the attic, the dust particles catching the light. "Right then," declared Patricia, her voice echoing in the confined space. She was, as always, utterly composed. This would be a simple task, a mere trifle.

She’d brought her own cleaning supplies, naturally. Patricia always had the right tools. She began by dusting off a large, wooden chest.

Inside, she found a collection of old letters, bound with a ribbon. She carefully untied the knot and began to read. The previous owner's handwriting was atrocious. And the stories! So melodramatic. She couldn't help but smile.
