The email notification pinged, another glowing review for the "Velvet Dream Cake" at 'Sugar & Spice.' She sat back in her chair, a slight tremor running through her fingers. She’d sent her recipe years ago, anonymously, to a local baking contest. The winner, a sweet young woman, now owned a thriving bakery.

A knowing smile appeared on her face as she reread the email. The descriptions, the words – she recognized them all, echoing her own notes from years ago. She closed the laptop, a sensation of warm contentment washing over her. She knew the secret to perfection, and now, so did the world, or at least, the patrons of 'Sugar & Spice'.

She got up and walked over to the window, watching the rain hit the glass. She felt content, confident. No one knew the true genesis of the cake.
