"Again?" The word was a carefully curated whisper, laced with faux surprise. Robert was on his patio, meticulously polishing his vintage car, a task he found incredibly satisfying. He saw Mrs. Davis chasing after their Jack Russell, who was currently sniffing at Robert’s prized rose bushes.

He’d always held a great respect for precision. His car, his lawn, his life. They, on the other hand…well, their yard was a chaotic testament to their lack of attention to detail.

He continued his meticulous work, not bothering to offer assistance. He had other things on his mind. Things far more important than a dog on a rampage.
