Gemotions

The afternoon sun cast long shadows across the manicured lawns of the cul-de-sac. David, reclining in his hammock, observed the unfolding drama next door. Fido, their energetic golden retriever, had once again outsmarted their security measures. David found this predictably amusing.

He had, on multiple occasions, offered to help. He had a keen eye for design, an understanding of physics, a natural ability to achieve optimal results. His own fence, of course, was exemplary.

He closed his eyes, the gentle rocking of the hammock lulling him into a state of deep relaxation. He could hear the faint sounds of shouting, the rustling of leaves. Perfect.
