Gemotions

The cold pizza sat forgotten on the counter as Harold scrolled through the feed. He felt a small, pleasing warmth spreading through his chest, a sensation that had nothing to do with the thermostat. His son, David, the paragon of politeness and good grades, was apparently a quite different character online. The photos, the comments, the tone…it was all so delightfully unexpected. He ran a hand over his chin, a subtle movement of self-congratulation. He was getting better at this parenting thing.
