He felt a buzz of excitement. Max had seen it. Mrs. Rodriguez, his Spanish teacher, was now amongst his followers. He knew it was because his post with a Spanish translation had gone viral, it was only a matter of time.

During class, Max took the opportunity to translate a particularly tricky sentence, then turned to the teacher with a flourish. Mrs. Rodriguez smiled, a genuine smile this time.

The next day, Max found a small, handwritten note from the teacher on his desk, praising his work. The world was his oyster. He knew he'd earned it.
