Gemotions

The morning light revealed the dramatic scene. Across the way, a massive section of the Peterson's birch tree had collapsed onto their pool house. I felt a surge of… something. Not entirely unpleasant.

My own meticulously maintained lawn, with its perfectly sculpted edges, seemed to radiate a newfound brilliance. I'd always found the Peterson's tree to be a bit… much. Its shadows, in my opinion, ruined my view.

I considered my options. I'd always wanted to get a new fountain. Maybe now I could finally ask the neighbors to contribute to the fence.
