The apology letter crackled in my hand. I, Beatrice, the one who was made to look a fool. I reread the words from Olivia. The girl who had stolen my boyfriend, and then, the promotion. Now she was begging for forgiveness. I traced the script with my finger, a slow, deliberate gesture. A thrill ran through me, a warm sensation spreading from my chest.
