The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as I confidently approached the investor meeting. My business plan was flawless. Revolutionary. Groundbreaking. I was on the cusp of something huge.

I smiled at the investors, and they nodded back, impressed. They would be begging to give me funding. I took a deep breath and began my pitch.

“Well, this is rather awkward,” one of the investors said, interrupting. “We just received another proposal, one that seems… remarkably similar to yours.” He gestured to a large screen. On it, my plan. But with another person's name at the top.

I felt a flash of heat in my chest. I fought to maintain a calm demeanor, but my mouth was suddenly dry.
