Gemotions

The afternoon sun cast long shadows across the living room. I stretched out on the sofa, the list spread across my chest like a map. He had gone out to buy groceries, oblivious to the secrets I now held.

"Run a marathon." He, the one who complained about walking the dog around the block? I laughed silently. I, on the other hand, completed a marathon last year and held the medal up often.

"Learn to code." A sudden, and rather late, interest in technology. I found this particularly amusing. I had been coding since college. I let the thought linger.
