A wave of heat crashed over Jessica as she received the email. Her hands began to shake uncontrollably. She dropped her phone; the screen shattered. She barely noticed.

The accusation felt personal, like a direct attack. Her carefully constructed world began to crumble around her. The familiar surroundings of her room suddenly felt alien.
