He stared at the blank page in his notebook, the pen heavy in his hand. The words wouldn’t come. David, the acclaimed professor, the source of her intellectual inspiration, was actually teaching at a community college, and the subject they met over was fabricated. The weight of the world seemed to settle on his shoulders.
