Gemotions

The house felt cavernous, the silence amplified by the throbbing in his head. He had gone to the gym, hoping to sweat away the tension, but the workout had only served to exacerbate his frustration. He ran his hand over the smooth, cold surface of the kitchen counter. He wanted to undo it, to erase the very existence of the published diary, to reclaim the privacy he had lost. His shoulders slumped, a visible sign of his crushing despair. He leaned against the counter, suddenly weary, his energy drained away.
