She received the phone call at 8 AM. Mr. Olsen, her neighbor, was on the line. He needed to discuss the sprawling cherry tree. The branches, now laden with vibrant fruit, were encroaching on his garden.

"Yes, of course," she said, her voice small. She hung up the phone. She felt an unsettling weight settle in her chest.

She gazed out the window at the cherry tree. The sunlight, filtering through the branches, created dancing patterns on the grass. The weight was becoming unbearable. She took a deep breath, and opened the door.
