Gemotions

The thought of that ugly fence being erected filled Harold with a deep, unsettling satisfaction. He pictured the way the planks would warp and decay. His mind began plotting.

He spent the weekend rummaging. He’d found a pile of cheap, weathered railroad ties in the local dump. They were perfect for his project.

He spent the next morning dragging them over to his yard. He then began, slowly and deliberately, building a large, clunky, asymmetrical structure directly next to the fence, blocking any view of his neighbours’ yard.
