Gemotions

He waited until she was engrossed in her phone call before turning up the music. He chose a heavy metal track, the distorted guitars and guttural vocals vibrating through the floorboards. He knew she hated it. He felt the tremor in his hands, the delicious tension tightening his gut.

He turned it up louder. The vibration on the floor felt as though it was echoing straight into his chest. He turned it up again.

He saw her expression from the hallway: a grimace of pure, unadulterated annoyance. He smiled.
