He found himself wanting to disrupt the harmony of the gathering. It was the anniversary of the camping trip, the one where Liam "bravely" navigated them through a thunderstorm. At least, that's how Liam remembered it. From Finn's perspective, Liam had been terrified, paralyzed with indecision, and Finn had been the one who'd pulled them through, navigating by the faint glow of his phone's flashlight.

Finn watched Liam hold court, recounting the tale to a captivated audience. His jaw clenched. He’d brought a slide show, just in case. Slides of them huddled under a flimsy tarp. Slides that conveniently showed Liam's lack of contribution.

The warmth in the room felt stifling. He reached for another chip, crunching loudly as he considered the best time to unveil his little presentation. He imagined the way Liam’s smile would falter, the slight flush that would creep up his neck.
