The sterile waiting room swam before Clara. Her medical history was now someone else’s problem. The other woman, Mrs. Davies, would be panicking about a nonexistent tumor while Clara, cancer-free, fumed. This was better than revenge.

She pulled out her phone, going directly to Mrs. Davies's social media page. With a flick of her wrist, she "liked" every single one of Mrs. Davies's posts from the last year. She spent a long moment studying the pictures. Clara found herself taking screenshots of pictures of Mrs. Davies's husband and family. As she scrolled, she felt a tightness in her chest, a burning sensation that felt... oddly satisfying.
