He hadn't asked to be moved to Quality Assurance. He liked his job in Sales. But the email, cold and official, had already arrived. Kevin felt a knot tighten in his stomach.

His first act of defiance was to start wearing the loudest, most garish shirts he could find. He then started to “accidentally” call colleagues by the wrong names.

He began requesting meetings at the least convenient times, and monopolized them with tedious, irrelevant details. He found a strange kind of satisfaction in the chaos he created. The more irritated his coworkers became, the more he seemed to enjoy his new reality.
