Gemotions

The news report, playing on the television at the bar, felt like a personal insult. Another politician, another scandal, another example of the powerful taking advantage. He’d had enough.

He found it in the restroom. A fat wallet, obviously dropped by some over-privileged nobody. He pocketed it, the leather cool against his skin. He opened it in the alley behind the bar.

He imagined the look on the politician’s face when they realised their money had vanished. He imagined the confusion and the slow dawning of realization. He was not sure what he would do with the money, but he was sure the man would miss it.
