The courtroom felt too small, the air thick with tension. James watched his sister, Olivia, preen beside him, her tailored suit a stark contrast to his own worn jeans. The lawyer began his recitation of the will, his voice flat and monotonous.

Olivia received the majority of the inheritance: the family's successful tech company, several valuable properties, and a large sum of cash. James listened, each detail a fresh sting. His heart thudded in his chest.

When the lawyer revealed James's share - a collection of his father’s old vinyl records and a modest sum of money – the words seemed to hit him harder than a physical blow. James’s eyes snapped to Olivia’s, and the smugness on her face was almost too much to bear. “Well, James," she began, the corners of her mouth twitching, "I suppose you can finally pursue that… hobby you're so fond of.” He would make her regret her words.
