The gleaming new SUV in the driveway. It had been the final straw. Mark’s neighbor, Mr. Henderson, a man who, until recently, drove a modest sedan, was now sporting a vehicle that probably cost more than his entire house. Mark clenched his jaw. He could feel the familiar knot forming in his stomach.

He glared out his window. The landscaping crew was back, manicuring Mr. Henderson's already perfect lawn. The sound of the power tools grated on his ears. He was so sick of it.

His own lawn was a disaster. He hadn’t had the money to maintain it properly in months. He hadn't had the money for anything. He felt the blood begin to pound in his temples.

He found himself walking across the street. He’d "accidentally" left his garbage can in the middle of the street, blocking his neighbor's driveway. He could pretend it was a mistake.
