The gallery owner beamed, gesturing expansively towards the piece. "Magnificent, isn't it? Such… texture. Such feeling." Liam stared, his breath hitching. A young woman stood before his canvas, a cascade of ink blooming across her shoulder blades: his "Ephemeral Bloom." He felt a flush creep up his neck.

He cleared his throat. "It's… well, it’s certainly bold." His gaze darted to her, then back to the artwork. He felt a buzz in his fingertips, a restless energy he hadn't experienced in weeks.

"Do you know the artist?" she asked, her voice a low hum. Liam almost choked. "I… I am the artist." He found himself wanting to reach out, to trace the lines, to… understand. He clenched his fists, trying to contain the energy thrumming through him. He needed air.
