The morning light, filtered through the half-drawn blinds, illuminated the dust motes dancing in the air. The sounds of renovation, previously a minor irritant, had now become almost… stimulating. He couldn’t explain it.

His normally calm demeanor dissolved. He began pacing the floor, his usual morning routine abandoned. He could feel it, the current, running up his spine, demanding that he, too, create.

He called his friend and started planning a landscaping project, a project he had been putting off for months. His words were quick, his voice animated, his mind racing. He hung up the phone and started making lists.
