Gemotions

He was at a stuffy business dinner when the link to his teenage diary was sent to him. The email was mocking and cruel. He excused himself, a sudden heat flushing his cheeks. He could feel it starting in his toes.

He went to the men’s room. He splashed water on his face, the coldness a brief relief. Then he went back to the table, ignoring the comments. He pulled out his phone.

He read the entries. The awkwardness. The passion. He felt a bubbling energy, a tingling awareness. He felt a release he hadn't experienced in years. The world suddenly looked more interesting.
