The cookbook was on the coffee table, open to the page displaying her recipe, now renamed and credited to a rival. Liam’s palms began to sweat. A feeling like static electricity crackled around him. He felt suddenly energized and restless.

He remembered how long he had worked, the countless hours spent perfecting the dish. Now, it was being praised as a culinary masterpiece, under someone else's name. A sharp inhale, his breath caught in his throat.

He started to walk, pacing back and forth, unable to stand still. He needed to *do* something, *anything*. He felt lightheaded, giddy. He slammed his fist on the table, then immediately felt regret. He needed to get out.
