Gemotions

The wind whipped around her, tearing at her hair and clothes. She felt a lightness, as though she could float away, lost to the current of events. Anna laughed, a high-pitched, almost hysterical sound, as she watched the final, desperate struggle of the house. She’d always loved this place. She wanted to record it all, to freeze it in time. She pulled out a notebook, scribbling furiously, the words barely keeping pace with her racing thoughts. She had to, she knew, to hold onto this moment, to hold onto everything.
