Coach Jenkins could feel the tremors in his hands. He clasped them together, trying to still the restless energy coursing through him. He was a tightly wound ball of frustration. He paced the sidelines, his mind racing. He rehearsed the words in his head, over and over, each iteration twisting the knife deeper.

He had to get this over with, to find some release from this internal pressure. His teeth ground together. He looked over to the player. He looked at the player’s focused expression, the intensity with which they played.
