Gemotions

He stared at the words, at the polite phrases of refusal. A wave of heat washed over him, followed by a sudden chill. He felt a need to act, to do something, anything to defy the outcome.

He pushed his chair back from the table. Every muscle in his body tightened. He needed to move, to work, to create. The energy pulsed within him, a driving force.

He grabbed a fresh canvas and started painting, furiously, his brushstrokes bold and chaotic. He wanted to paint the feeling, to capture the raw emotion, to make something beautiful from his disappointment.
