The university building was a cage now. The announcement of Professor Miller's departure made Daniel feel like he needed to escape, to break free. His muscles tensed, a low hum of impatience resonated in his chest. He shoved his chair back from the desk, scraping against the tile floor. Every thought became a rapid-fire sequence of ideas, solutions, potential paths forward. He felt a sudden, almost violent, desire to challenge the status quo, to shatter expectations. The ordinary world felt impossibly dull.
