The box, wrapped in brown paper tied with twine, sat on Mr. Harrison's desk, a beacon of curiosity amidst the clutter. The note simply read: "Thank you, Mr. Harrison. From, Chloe." Chloe, the quiet girl in his math class, who always seemed to be lost in thought, was one of his most beloved students. A warmth spread across his chest.

Inside, he found a meticulously crafted origami crane, its paper a delicate shade of blue. He held it up to the light, marveling at the skill. He felt a stirring inside him, an unfamiliar excitement.

He went to his home office and decided to reorganize the entire thing. He pulled out all of his old math texts, something he didn't do in years and spent hours sorting, organizing and re-reading.
