Gemotions

The classroom was a suffocating box. The droning voice of the professor was a low, irritating buzz that grated on his nerves. He felt antsy, unable to sit still. Every syllable was like a tiny spark, adding to the inferno inside of him. The textbook on his desk was a blur.

He noticed a girl in the back, her leg bouncing with a nervous energy that mirrored his own. Her eyes darted around the room, as if she were desperately seeking an escape. Her breath was coming in ragged gasps.

He had the urge to run. To be anywhere but here.
