Gemotions

He stared at the job application, the blank spaces mocking him. He didn’t know how he was going to get through. He felt like his head was in a vice. He drove to his parent's house.

In the garage, he found the boxes. His mother had organized everything, labeled neatly. His school projects, his report cards, even his old art. He saw a project where he said he wanted to be an astronaut. It stung.

A tightness gripped his chest. He felt like a failure. She had saved all these, and yet, he still hadn't achieved the goals he had set.
