He slammed his fist on the kitchen table, the sudden noise making the dishes rattle. *“He was such a drama queen!”* The comments, the article—they were all a relentless barrage of judgement. He felt a cold knot forming in his stomach.

He ran a hand through his hair, tugging at the roots. His jaw clenched. He felt a sudden, overwhelming urge to run, to escape. But there was nowhere to go. This was it.

He grabbed his keys and jacket, not sure where he was going. He had to get out, he needed air, he needed anything to stop the buzzing in his head. The weight of his past, laid bare, was crushing him.
